The fastest way into the heart of nature near your home is through the events that are probably already happening near you.
Finding those events is not always easy. Knowing that an event is going to make your life better is critical to motivating you to find time to check out the events.
We all really need this information, and so a vital part of the local biology project is the CALENDAR.

Contribute to the people calendar
For events with people, as opposed to turkey vultures.
- You look up 3 events near your home. Hints | Current Calendar
- If you need to, you can read up on any reports for events in your location.
- Add those events to the calendar
- Attend 1 event, preferably one that you have listed in the calendar. Take pictures, talk to people - you are going to tell the world about this event. Reporting ideas
- Post your report about the event
By doing this we accomplish some very important things
- We build a human-friendly database of events everywhere
- We learn what happens at these events
- Events are supported.
- Real work is done conserving our local ecology
- We meet each other.

It is by being a social business today that we can reach out to all people who want to understand the world they live in - the science, the spirit, the changing planet. We can reach around walls built by schools and other educational institutions, television, media, science, religion, language and country.
We know that we love and care about our Earth and in this we unite as this 'social business,' the business being that we are all working together to bring this knowledge together on this website and to other real projects in our towns — working with our own communities and, especially, friends.
