Get connected: what's the deal with "Listservs"

Get connected: what's the deal with "Listservs"

Listservs scare me. They seem really cool at first...and then soon I find myself ignoring the messages until a few years later when I subscribe to another listserv. I'm just really lazy about that stuff.

When I went to Birds 'n Bars in Minneapolis, I met some folks who participate in the Minnesota Ornithologist's Union Listserv.

What they talked about confirmed my fears - that the old-time advanced birders are intimidating and they will criticize you when you decide to participat -- or ignore you.

So that's why I don't like Listservs and for some reason prefer reading websites.

Well, now I have no excuse:

There's a list of latest posts.

Of course -- all these groups have listservs. There's probably a tremendous amount of information there.

We will try signing up for some of these, and post information about signing up here.
